Adult Education

Carthage Tech Center

The Carthage Adult Education and Literacy (AEL) Program provides free assistance to help adults get the basic skills they need to be productive workers, family members, and citizens. The major areas of support are Adult Basic Education, Adult Secondary Education, GED and English as a Second Language. These programs emphasize basic skills such as reading, writing, math, English language competency, and problem-solving.


Programs are also available for certification in Practical Nursing, Pharmacy Technician, and Medical/Clinical Assistant.  Applications are available online.  Financial assistance is available.

Family Assistance

The Crisis Center provides the community with food and clothing distribution, shelter for the homeless, and employment assistance.
